Certain conservation practices require a county permit such as manure storage construction, manure storage closure, winter spreading, erosion control, or stormwater management. Staff are available to assist with permitting requirements for conservation practices. Staff are also available to assist with permitting requirements for wetlands and stream work practices that are cost-shared through the county. Assistance may include planning, site information, and sometimes engineering designs. The landowner is responsible for submitting the permit to the appropriate agencies.
