In honor of the 25th anniversary of the Dane County Dog Parks, Wisconsin Brewing Company is hosting the "Barks for Parks!" celebration and fundraiser at their facility in Verona on June 25 from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m.
The afternoon of fun will include live music from The Oak Street Ramblers, a demonstration by Dancers with Woofs, food, and entertainment for both two- and four-legged friends and family. Proceeds from this celebration will support Dane County Dog Parks and be used for upgrades, expansion, and special projects.
Food will be available for purchase at the event. The first 200 people get a free goody bag! Please note that dogs must be on a 6’ static leash and be current on vaccinations. Dogs must be people and animal friendly. Admission is $5.00 per person (children 7 and under are free) and $15.00 per family (up to 2 adults and three children under the age of 18). Tickets may be purchased online in advance or the day of at Barks for Parks!
Dane County Parks was one of the first park systems in the nation to develop off-leash dog exercise areas and is recognized s a national leader. Off-leash areas are available at all seven Dane County Dog Parks, including Badger Prairie, Capital Springs Recreation Area, Indian Lake, Prairie Moraine, Token Creek, Viking, and Yahara Heights County Parks.
