Dane County Parks to Begin Master Planning Process for Token Creek County Park

Dane County Parks planning staff is working together with a stakeholder team and consulting firm Bonestroo to prepare a draft master plan for Token Creek County Park and Natural Resource Area. The current master plan for the park is in need of updates to address current recreation trends and park usage. Some of the recommendations for changes to the park include additional camping facilities, expanding the disc golf course, improving park access to surrounding residential areas, relocating the main entrance to the park, and a general reorganization of interior roads and parking areas. In addition to the park, recommendations for how to further conservation efforts and expand public recreation throughout the Token Creek Natural Resource Area will be explored.

A public information meeting to begin the planning process and solicit input will be held on Monday, May 18th, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Windsor Town Hall, 4084 Mueller Road, DeForest, WI 53532
