Event Description
Join the Friends of Anderson for a family fun way to explore forests, story board walks, and flying kites.
The event is designed especially for children ages 2–9(9), the free event transforms the park into a world of imagination and discovery. Kids can follow forest and prairie trails in search of 20 hidden fairy doors and 70 colorful painted rocks, each decorated with bright designs and letters of the alphabet. It’s part self-guided scavenger hunt, part outdoor adventure—and all about letting curiosity lead the way. Two story boards are available courtesy of the Oregon Public Library. And of course, the crowd-favorite “Go Fly a Kite” activity returns, hosted by the Oregon-Brooklyn Optimists and supported by the Wisconsin Kiters. Free kites will be available while supplies last, giving kids the chance to see just how high they can soar. We can't forget body painitng (by Desere Mayo), hair braiding, and load of bubbles. Free bubbles while they last.
