Youth Volunteers for Conservation (YV4C) Shoreline Cleanup

Join us in caring for our local waterways! During this hands-on stewardship event, participants will work alongside a Dane County Parks Ranger to help remove litter and debris from the shoreline, improving habitat for wildlife and keeping our parks beautiful for everyone.

Participants will learn how trash impacts water quality and aquatic ecosystems, what types of debris are most commonly found along shorelines, and how park staff manage and protect these important natural areas. Participants will assist with shoreline cleanup, basic data tracking, and proper disposal of collected materials.

Are you a young adult ages 15-21 who enjoys the outdoors? Join the Youth Volunteers for Conservation (YV4C) program to explore Dane County Parks while building real-world conservation skills. Participants will contribute to habitat restoration efforts and gain exposure to career pathways in natural resources across southern Wisconsin.

What to Bring:

• Please dress for the weather
• Bring a sack lunch and a water bottle. Extra lunches can be made available if you are unable to bring your own. Please reach out to the Youth Conservation Coordinator if you feel you will need a lunch provided.
