Ho Chunk Basket Weaving

Join the Friends of Schumacher Farm Park to learn the art and tradition of Ho-Chunk black ash basket weaving with Kimberly Crowley! 

Kimberly will explain the process of harvesting and preparing black ash before guiding participants to create their own small baskets.Basket weaving is one of the longest practiced Ho-Chunk artistic forms, with both women and men continuing this living tradition today. Minimum age is 14. Space is limited; registration is required. All materials are included. Saturday, May 16th 1-3 pm $90 per person
