Native Garden Design Workshop
Event Dates
- Wednesday, 02/11/2026 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Event Description
Want to plant a rain garden or pollinator garden, but not sure where to start? Join experts from UW-Extension and Dane County Land & Water Resources for a hands-on workshop covering the essentials of native garden design. We’ll share simple design tips, best practices, and plenty of photo examples—highlighting what works and what to avoid.
After a short presentation, you’ll get to design your own garden using 3D plant tokens and leave with a customized garden plan ready for spring planting.
Each participant will also receive a take-home binder filled with helpful resources on site preparation, garden design, native plant sources (including growing your own), and more.
This is a FREE workshop for members of Sustainable Stoughton and the Oregon Nature Alliance and will be used as a pilot for expanding community native plant education. Registration is required. Space is limited so please only sign up if you plan to attend.
