Edge-of-Field Ribbon Cutting and Field Day

Event Description
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will highlight the newly installed paired edge-of-field monitoring site at the Sugar River Wildlife Area.
Confirmed speakers include:
- Melissa Agard, Dane County Executive
- Nathan Fikkert, USDA-NRCS State Conservationist
- Francisco Arriaga, UW-Madison Extension, Associate Professor and Soil Extension Specialist
Following the ceremony, a brief educational field session will proceed, featuring a guided tour of the monitoring equipment and a rainfall simulation demonstration.
Please be advised that access to the site is restricted to the Schaller Road entrance. Attendees are encouraged to park in the designated area near Schaller Road, as indicated by posted signage. Transportation to the remote field location will be provided via open-air shuttle. We recommend dressing appropriately for outdoor conditions and arriving promptly to ensure timely access to the shuttle.
