Event Description
Join the Friends of Lower Mud Lake NRA to plant a unique native species into the prairies undergoing restoration at Lower Mud Lake Natural Resource Area!
Native porcupine grass (Stipa spartea) seeds are unique in having long awns that coil and uncoil with changes in moisture, which causes the seed to drill into the soil. Volunteers will help this natural process along by planting the tip in the soil in one of the prairie areas at LMLNRA,
