Fenceline Cleanup at Token Creek Dog Park

Event Dates

  • Thursday, 05/11/2023 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Event Description

Please sign up in advance so we know how many people to account for: https://signup.com/go/ZeyABEz

About:

All tools and training will be provided.

We will be clearing the fence of invasive brush, grape vines, and other materials. Volunteers will either:

  • use loppers, hand saws, and other tools (if one wishes to bring their own) to cut out brush.
  • treat stumps with herbicide to prevent re-growth (only those comfortable with using herbicide will be asked to use it).
  • stack cut material in a truck bed to be removed from the park.

We will take a break around 2:15. It may be warm, but we will be working mostly in the spring "shade" (trees are not fully leafed out yet), dress accordingly. **Note: Dogs are not allowed at this event**.

What to bring/wear:

  • Bring gloves, plenty of drinking water, a snack, and a flexible attitude.
  • A hat, sunscreen, and anything else you need to wear to be comfortable in the sun is advised.
  • Wear closed toe shoes (no sandals or open-toed shoes) and clothes you don't mind working in. Breathable long sleeves and pants are advised, as we will be working among Wild Parsnip

Our Park staff and doggy guests will greatly appreciate your efforts!

Do not attend if experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms.
